EASTOP

EAS-TOP (Extensive Air Showers –TOP), located at Campo Imperatore, about 2000 mt, has been running contemporaneously with detectors installed in the underground laboratory, such as MACRO and LVD, aiming at expanding the study of extensive air showers produced by cosmic rays. Among the results of the experiment, functioning from 1989 to 2000, stand out the study of the spectrum and the primary composition of high-energy cosmic rays as well as the cosmic radiation anisotropies.
