XENON1T – TPC
Details of the Time Projecting Chamber (TPC) of the experiment XENON 1T during the construction phases of the apparatus. The TPC is the sensitive target of the experiment, consisting of a cylinder where liquid and gaseous xenon is located; a possible interaction of the particles, constituting dark matter, in the xenon would produce a scintillating signal that could be observed by the photomultipliers located in the upper and lower part of the detector.
